SCAP: World Sickle Cell Day, 2021

The SCAP (Sickle Cell Awareness Project) by DISCON (Disability & Sickle Cell Organization of Nigeria) held as planned yesterday, 19th June, at it office in Festac Town, Lagos State, to commemorate World Sickle Cell Day.

In attendance were some shortlisted Warriors to receive their handout packs consisting of Routine Drugs, Branded Sickle Cell Awareness T-shirts and Books by Dr. David Owoeye (A Life with Sickle Cell Anaemia).

To other Warriors that registered to be participants but couldn’t make due to distance especially the ones from Kaduna, Kano, Kebbi & Zambia and those the weather left skeptical due to the rain, we commend your sincere feedbacks.

DISCON plans to host more of such regular realtime programmes for Sickle Cell discourses, free routine drugs dispensations, affordable genotype testing, outreaches to suburbs and rural areas while creating a strong bond and support system for ourselves as Warriors.

With love, support, collaborations, sponsorships from all and sundry, we can make it happen. Together, we can!
